Noush's Story
I am Noush Navazani, a psychology-trained integrative therapist, author, lecturer, and researcher with an academic background in Clinical Psychology. I hold both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Clinical Psychology, I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society, and I am currently completing my doctoral research at Brunel University London, focusing on consumer behaviour.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and personalised. I believe that every person brings a different history, personality, culture, and way of processing emotions, so therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than based on one fixed method, with space to understand the emotional origins of current difficulties as well as manage present-day symptoms.
Depending on each person's needs, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, schema therapy, psychoanalytic thinking, inner-child work, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy, with mindfulness also helping to strengthen focus and attention. My work focuses not only on current symptoms, but also on the deeper patterns that may be influencing relationships, confidence, emotional well-being, self-care, and everyday choices.
Many of the behaviours we struggle with in adulthood began as ways of feeling safe, accepted, or protected earlier in life. Around 70% of adults experience childhood trauma, and those early experiences can contribute to anxiety disorders later in life and increase the risk of depression in adulthood, which is why healing often benefits from professional therapy. Through therapy, we explore these patterns with compassion and honesty, understand where they come from, and begin developing healthier ways of responding.
I also believe that therapy should continue beyond the session. Where appropriate, I offer personalised reflections, exercises, and practical tools to help clients apply what they discover in their everyday lives over time and to make psychological concepts more accessible in everyday life.
Alongside individual therapy, I support adults, including high-functioning individuals navigating identity transitions, with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, career and business challenges, and periods of personal or professional transition, with services available in both English and Farsi. As low self-esteem affects around 85% of people at some point, this work often involves building a more stable sense of self alongside healthier ways of relating to others.
I am also the author of The Child Behind Your Path, a book exploring how childhood experiences can continue to shape adult emotions, relationships, and behavioural patterns.
I also deliver workshops and public speaking engagements that share psychological insights with wider audiences.
My aim is to offer a calm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where people can feel heard, understand themselves more deeply, and, where we both agree the work is right for them, create meaningful, lasting change.
